ZINTONA contains ground ginger root (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) as the active ingredient. The parent plant, a perennial up to two metres high, was formerly native to tropical Asia. Today it is cultivated in many tropical and subtropical regions (Jamaica, India, China, West Africa and Japan).

Ginger root is traditionally used for its spicy flavour as a flavouring agent to stimulate the appetite and as a remedy for flatulence.

ZINTONA can be used to treat indigestion and stomach complaints.

ZINTONA also has a preventative effect in adults for symptoms of sea, air and travel sickness (kinetosis) such as dizziness, nausea and vomiting.

ZINTONA has been shown to be effective against vomiting associated with fever in children from 6 years of age.
