Premens contains a dry extract of the fruit of monk's pepper(Vitex agnus-castus) as the active ingredient.

The fruits of monk's pepper alleviate symptoms before menstruation (premenstrual syndrome, PMS). Premens is therefore used for symptoms that begin up to two weeks before menstruation and disappear again with the onset of menstruation. The symptoms include physical and psychological complaints that make everyday life difficult. These include complaints such as headaches, skin problems, a slight feeling of tension in the breasts, abdominal discomfort as well as mood swings, irritability, nervous tension, mood swings, tiredness and sleep problems. Premens is also traditionally used for menstrual cycle disorders (too frequent or too infrequent periods).
