Perenterol Lyo-Sol is an antidiarrhoeal agent and contains a yeast fungus(Saccharomyces boulardii) as its active ingredient. It is used for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhoea such as gastroenteritis, stomach flu or travel diarrhoea and, if prescribed by a doctor, for the prevention and treatment of antibiotic-induced diarrhoea; in combination with other measures, it helps to restore the intestinal flora and alleviate diarrhoea.
Perenterol Lyo-Sol regulates and normalises intestinal activity.
The yeast Saccharomyces boulardii is resistant to antibiotics and acts in a living form inside the intestine. It is not absorbed by the body.
Various studies have shown an inhibitory effect on the development of various harmful bacteria and Candida albicans.
