Description
Microdacyn60® Wound Care
Effective treatment of chronic and/or infected wounds.
What is Microdacyn60® Wound Care
Microdacyn60® Wound Care is a ready-to-use wound care solution with activated (nascent) oxygen. It is made from ultra-pure water and small amounts of NaCl using Oculus Innovative Science's patented Microcyn technology.
How Microdacyn60® Wound Care works
In the wound moisturised with Microdacyn60® Wound Care, a process comparable to phagocytosis is set in motion. A process that is also used in the human body to kill pathological microorganisms. Single-cell microorganisms are enclosed and a hypoosmotic environment is created. Reactive oxygen species denature the proteins of the cell wall of unicellular microorganisms and the cell wall is destroyed. Human cells are not affected. The germ-reducing effects of Microdacyn60® Wound Care have been proven for a wide range of microorganisms. For example, for gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria (including MRSA), spores, viruses and fungi.
The advantages
• Cleans and debrides acute and chronic wounds of all kinds and
Ensures a moist wound environment
• Has an anti-inflammatory effect, inhibits mast cells, reduces inflammation
of histamine by up to 86%.
• Stimulates wound healing, promotes fibroblast mitosis
and capillary perfusion.
• Eliminates pathogenic micro-organisms and reduces the risk of infection
of re-infection
• Faster wound closure (30% less treatment time)
• Fewer amputations, scars and antibiotic consumption
• Neutralises odours, breaks up biofilm.
• Ready-to-use solution
• PH-neutral, non-toxic and environmentally friendly, can be disposed of without special
can be disposed of without special measures
• No irritation to eyes, mouth or skin
How to use
ApplyMicrodacyn60® Wound Care directly to the affected area and use at each dressing change
use. The dressing is easier to remove if it is moistened with Microdacyn60® Wound Care.
Effective after 30 seconds.
Active principle
The ingredient hypochlorous acid (HOCl) in Microdacyn60 Wound Care uses a physical defence mechanism against pathogens, which is also used in the body, to preserve the irrigation fluid: Foreign bodies are not removed chemically, but destroyed by a purely natural, physical process. This ensures the sterility of Microdacyn60 Wound Care even after the application period.
Non-specific osmolysis - bursting of the cells
The hypotonic Microdacyn60 Wound Care solution ensures that more water flows into the cells to equalise the osmotic balance. This leads to osmolysis (non-specific osmotic shock): The cells burst due to the increasing internal pressure.
Mechanical effect of the sterile solution
Microdacyn60 Wound Care - wound irrigation solution facilitates the mechanical removal of microorganisms and cell breakage. Microorganisms are largely flushed away with Microdacyn602 Wound Care and other soluble components are removed.  nbsp;  nbsp;  nbsp;  nbsp;  nbsp;  nbsp;  nbsp;  nbsp; Microdacyn60 Wound Care can also be left on the wound to soak. Facilitates débridement, as even pre-digested cells, which occur in large numbers in infected wounds, lyse more quickly under the influence of Microdacyn60 Wound Care.
Sterility & effect of the preservative
The preservative in Microdacyn60 Wound Care, hypochlorous acid (HOCl), has excellent antimicrobial properties and therefore also ensures the sterility of the wound dressing over the period of application. It can also eliminate the unpleasant odours that often occur with wounds particularly effectively and quickly.
Compatible with all wound dressings, demal substitutes, maggot therapy, also under occlusion, V.A.C Instill, VersaJet, Jetox
