Mesoft non-woven dressings and round swabs have been developed for various applications - including absorption, protection, replenishment and disinfection. Unlike cotton gauze, they are soft to the touch and retain their shape, even when wet. They can absorb fluid or exudate and release fewer fibres into the wound than gauze.
