Maltofer Fol Chewable Tablets are a combination preparation containing iron and folic acid. They are used to treat and prevent iron deficiency with increased folic acid requirements during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Iron is an essential building block of red blood pigment, red muscle pigment and iron-containing enzymes. Folic acid is an important vitamin for the development of the unborn child. A lack of folic acid in the first weeks of pregnancy can lead to malformations in the child.
