Magnesium Sandoz is a magnesium preparation in effervescent tablet form that allows magnesium to be supplied to the body in a form that can be easily absorbed by the body in sufficient quantities. Magnesium is a vital element that is necessary for many metabolic processes in the human body. It is assumed that an adult needs at least 300-400 mg of magnesium per day (1 effervescent tablet of Magnesium Sandoz contains 10 mmol, corresponding to 243 mg of magnesium).

Magnesium Sandoz is used to cover increased requirements (e.g. during growth, high-performance sport, pregnancy, breastfeeding), in the case of a magnesium-deficient diet and for calf cramps.

Magnesium Sandoz can be used on a doctor's prescription or on the advice of a pharmacist to treat magnesium deficiency, which can manifest itself in symptoms such as nervousness, irritability and tiredness; muscle twitching, restless legs and alcohol abuse.

Magnesium Sandoz is prescribed by the doctor for tachycardic cardiac arrhythmias, especially in cases of resistance to other antiarrhythmic drugs.
