Camomile was already widely used in ancient times and was valued even then for its pain-relieving, antispasmodic, slightly disinfectant, wound-healing and wound-cleansing properties.
Kamillosan Liquidum contains essential oil and flavones in quantified quantities as the active ingredients of camomile. Kamillosan Liquidum is an anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, itch-relieving, slightly disinfecting agent with soothing and odour-reducing properties.
Kamillosan Liquidum can therefore be used:
- For mouth rinsing and gargling: For inflammation of the oral cavity, throat, gums, bad breath.
- For inhalation and facial vapour baths: For colds, sinusitis, bronchitis. As a supportive measure for blemished skin, pustules, blackheads (acne vulgaris).
- For compresses, washes, partial and full baths: For itching, skin inflammation, after-treatment of open abscesses, boils, infected wounds, first-degree burns.
- As a sitz bath: To relieve the symptoms of haemorrhoids, itching caused by eczema (including anal eczema) or inflammation around the anus.
- As a children's bath: For inflammatory skin conditions.
- For douching: For inflammatory diseases of the female genital organs.
- For brushing (undiluted): For inflammation of the oral mucosa, gums, periodontitis, bleeding gums.
