Spirulina algae

Spirulina (Spirulina platensis (Gomont) Geitler) originates from Mexico, but has spread to other parts of the world, such as Inner Mongolia, where Arkopharma supplies Ecocert®-controlled spirulina. This small blue-green algae, also known as rainbow because of its pigments, particularly likes the warm waters of Chad. Harvesting it is a custom in this country.
