The passion flower (Passiflora incarnata):

Passion flower, still known today as "grenadilla", originates from the USA. The woody stem has contrasting leaves of beautiful green and broad, purple and white flowers.

The passion flower was discovered by the Spanish conquistadors in the Amazon forest in the 15th century. They were given this name by the Jesuit missionaries who accompanied the expeditions. These missionaries believed that there was a morphological analogy between these flowers and the instruments of Christ's Passion. The double crown of crimson filaments evoked the crown of thorns, the three stigmas evoked nails, the five dust vessels the hammers, the leaves with three lobes the spear and the tendrils symbolised the whip of flogging.

Directions for use

• Adults: 2 capsules after the evening meal and 2 capsules before bedtime (with a glass of water)
• Adolescents over 12 years: 1 capsule after the evening meal and 1 capsule before going to bed (with a glass of water)
