Papilocare vaginal gel forms a protective film and acts directly on the lining of the uterus. This film acts as a defence barrier to prevent the risk of HPV penetration. This prevents the penetration of HPV and thus the formation of new lesions on the one hand and supports the re-epithelialisation of existing lesions on the other.

It also promotes the regeneration of the vaginal flora.

A number of clinical studies have been conducted with Papilocare, confirming its clinical efficacy and safety.

The manufacturer's study results show an improvement in the epithelialisation of the cervicovaginal mucosa when Papilocare is used: The degree of re-epithelialisation of the cervical mucosa of Papilocare patients was observed and compared with untreated patients. It was found that the Papilocare patient group had a higher proportion of healed HPV lesions than the untreated patient group.

The efficacy and safety of the use of Papilocare were also confirmed in independent observational studies at various university hospitals.
