DIBASE 10,000 oral drops contain cholecalciferol (vitamin _D3). Vitamin _D3 is found in some foods and is also produced by the body when the skin is exposed to sunlight. Vitamin _D3 helps the kidneys and intestines to absorb calcium and is needed for bone formation.

DIBASE 10,000 drops for oral use are used:

• For the prevention of bone softening in children (rickets)
• For the prevention of bone softening in adults (osteomalacia)
• for the prevention of a recognisable risk of vitamin D deficiency in otherwise healthy people without impaired food intake (absorption disorder)
• for the prevention of a recognisable risk of vitamin D deficiency in the case of reduced intake from food (malabsorption)

DIBASE 10,000 oral drops are used on prescription by a doctor:

• to prevent possible bone softening in premature babies, infants and young children (rickets)
• for the treatment of bone softening (osteomalacia) in adults.
